Boys II Men were on of the biggest bands in the world for a while in the early and late nineties.  Songs like Motown Philly, I’ll Make Love to You, End of the Road, On Bended Knee, and  and a collaboration with Mariah Carey “One Sweet Day” made them one of the most successful vocal acts in the world.  Their fame diminished since and they have not been near the charts in years, but they are still a draw, and their music is excellent and nostalgic for anyone who liked mainstream R&B and Hip hop in the 90′s

George Lopez at the IP

Hispanic Comedian and talk-show host is coming to the Imperial Palace on March 24th at 8:00 pm.  Tickets are running from $65-$85 depending on your seats, and there are still tickets available.

Lopez is a funny guy.  His talk show on TBS was actually pretty good.  He was known for long monologues where he would expound on race and the stupidities of celebrities.  His standup is much more extreme than his talk show and when he rolls uncensored, he provides his funniest materials.  Naturally Hispanic comedians like to center on the issues between the races, but he also has a more educated and conservative style that adds to his racial humor.  This is a great attraction to come to Biloxi and easily the best show at the IP in March.

Cheech and Chong

Cheech and Chong will be at the Beau Rivage on March 10th at 8:00pm on their Get It Legal Tour.  Ticket prices start at $54.95 and there are still tickets available.  You can see these legendary comics talk about their careers, weed, legalizing weed, and how they have smoked weed probably every day for 50 years.  Its a can’t miss show.

The Doobie Brothers will be at the Beau Rivage on March 23rd at 8pm.  Tickets start at $39.95 and there are still tickets available.

The Doobie Brothers have sold over 40 million albums during their 40 year career. Current members of the band are Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons, John McFee, John Cowan, Guy Allison, Marc Russo, Tony Pia, and Ed Toth. The entire band will be in attendance and they will be playing hits and some newer songs off their current album “World Gone Crazy”. Michael McDonald might be making a guest appearance, but he might not…Check back for all updates.

Imperial Palace Buffet

The IP Biloxi has a cool thing planned for 2012. They are going to have special themes for the buffet in their casino hotel for different days of the week. I think this is an awesome idea. They will get more people to come to the buffet who like certain types of food (and tons of it) and they can avoid certain dishes they know they won’t like. Here are the days and their corresponding themes:

Sunday: Ace High Asian
Monday: BBQ Bonanza!
Tuesday: Steak and Gulf Shrimp (My favorite)
Wednesday: Low Country Seafood
Thursday: A Taste of Italy
Friday and Saturday: Extreme Seafood
